To implement and maintain the environmental management system C-MAC is committed to the following:
- Continual improvement of the environmental performance by monitoring progress against targets and objectives on a regular basis
- Prevent pollution and reduce our impact on the environment
- Comply with the relevant environmental legislation
The C-MAC objectives to reduce the impact on the environment and to continually improve the environmental performance are translated into 6 principles which are the foundation of the C-MAC environmental policy:
1. Waste reduction and disposal
We will seek opportunities to reduce waste and recycle process scrap from our operations
We will dispose of our waste only in well-operated permitted facilities
We will prevent spillage or exuberant usage of raw materials or auxiliary materials
2. Energy management & Climate change
We will only use energy-efficient lighting
We will strive to reduce our energy consumption & green house gas emissions
We will favor the purchasing of green energy
3. Protection of the biosphere
We will continue to reduce the use and/or emissions of hazardous air pollutants and volatile organic compounds
We will strive to conserve water and to minimize water pollution
4. Restricted use of hazardous substances
We purchase materials which are compliant to all the requirements of the EU directives and regulations like REACH, RoHS, ELV and Conflict Minerals
5. Raising awareness and training of employees
We will develop training programs to provide our employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill the environmental objectives and being prepared for emergencies
6. Partnership programs with suppliers and customers
- We are collaborating with our customer base to introduce re-usable packaging materials
- We elaborate partnership programs with our suppliers for the recuperation of waste
