A bronze medal from Ecovadis for Sustainability

22 January 2026

C-MAC gets a strong score for our first Sustainability scoring by EcoVadis.

In November 2025, we participated in an independent sustainability assessment by EcoVadis for the first time. Already at this first submission, C-MAC was awarded a Bronze EcoVadis medal, with an overall score of 69/100, placing us in the 81st percentile and even the top 90 percentile in the Electronic components manufacturing industry.
This result confirms that we have a strong foundation for sustainability, while it also highlights clear opportunities for further improvement.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is an internationally recognised platform that assesses companies’ sustainability performance across global supply chains. Its methodology is based on international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

The assessment focuses on four core themes:

  • Environment
  • Labour & Human Rights
  • Ethics
  • Sustainable Procurement

The evaluation is carried out by sustainability experts and takes into account a company’s industry, size, and geographic footprint, making EcoVadis a reliable and objective benchmark.

Why EcoVadis?

As a company, we strongly believe in conducting business in a sustainable and responsible way. Sustainability is not a standalone initiative, but an integral part of how we operate and make decisions.

Driven by both internal ambition and increasing customer demand, we looked for a way to quantify our sustainability efforts in a transparent and credible manner. EcoVadis clearly emerged as a widely accepted and internationally recognised framework, leading us to adopt it as our assessment methodology.

Our first results

For our first EcoVadis assessment, C-MAC Electromag Group achieved:

  • Overall score: 69/100
  • Percentile: 81st (Bronze Medal)

Scores

With a score of 77/100 we are in the top 8% of ems companies for Environment.
The score of 66/100 we are in the top 17% of ems companies for Labor & Human Rights.
Finally the score of 69/100 we are in the top 8% of ems companies for Sustainable Procurement.
Our strongest score being the environmental score is no surprise to us. The ISO 14001 certifications of all our sites, underline our commitment to structured environmental management.
These results demonstrate that solid policies and actions are already in place, while also providing clear insights into where further improvements are possible or even needed.

One policy, embraced across all sites

The first step in this journey was to harmonise our sustainability policies across all sites, coordinated from our headquarters in Ronse. These group-wide policies apply to all locations and form the foundation of our sustainability approach.
This centralised framework ensures consistency, clarity, and a shared direction, while still allowing room for local implementation and context.

Next steps

Our EcoVadis score is not an endpoint, but a starting point.
In 2026, our focus will be on:

  • Further implementing concrete actions across all sites to harmonise our policies
  • Measuring and reporting results in a consistent way throughout the group
  • Strengthening improvement actions within each of the four EcoVadis themes

Later this year, we will also update our website with a dedicated sustainability section, where we will communicate more transparently about our vision, actions, and progress in the field of sustainability.
Through these steps, we aim to continue building a future-proof, responsible, and sustainable organisation.
