The particular requirements of the automotive sector demand high reliability of operation in extreme environmental conditions.

C-MAC MicroTechnology's ceramic hybrid technology provides the perfect solution, being ideally suited to modular applications that require high circuit density, high operating temperature (>125C), high power dissipation and low-cost, high-volume manufacture. The application of bare silicon ICs bonded directly to ceramic based thick film interconnect eliminates one packaging step and thereby enhances thermal management and product reliability in high vibration environments.

The demanding automotive hybrid electronics sector requires maximum reliability of operation in extreme environmental conditions. Zero Defect Quality Assurance programmes beginning with product design maximises performance while minimising whole life costs.

We provide automotive hybrid electronic design and manufacturing solutions for a wide range of applications, including:

  • HID Xenon headlamp control systems
  • Air flow sensors
  • Variable Nozzle Turbo-charger controllers
  • Integrated start /stop alternator/starter motors
  • Engine management systems
  • Ignition modules
  • Voltage regulators
  • Fuel level sensors
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) management
  • HVAC Heating elements
  • Hybrid electric power-train controllers

C-MAC’s partnership with Danfoss Silicon Power provides a one-stop-shop for combined high current and control hybrid modules such as those used in Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems, electric oil pumps and water pumps. The excellent thermal management characteristics of our ceramic substrate based hybrid circuits enable high power to be handled effectively over a wide range of operating conditions.

To support our continued expansion into the automotive sector, all of our key manufacturing sites are approved to the TS16949 Automotive Quality Assurance System.
